What types of tech skills will my child learn in the program?

At Instructor Home after-school program, your child will explore a variety of tech skills tailored to their age and ability. They’ll start with basic computer skills, including typing, accent training, and gradually move on to more advanced topics such as coding, and digital creativity. Our curriculum is designed to be engaging and age-appropriate, helping kids build a strong foundation in technology while having fun.

How do you ensure that the tech content is age-appropriate and understandable for younger children?

We carefully design our tech curriculum to be age-appropriate and easily digestible for children aged 6 to 11. Our lessons use simple language, interactive tools, and visual aids to make complex concepts accessible. We also incorporate games and hands-on activities to reinforce learning and keep children engaged. Our instructors are trained to adjust their teaching methods based on each child’s understanding and pace.

What kind of equipment or software will my child need for the program?

For our online tech program, your child will need either a phone, computer or tablet with internet access. Most of our activities can be done using standard web browsers and require no special software. However, for certain projects, we may use specific educational apps or platforms that will be provided with clear instructions. We ensure that all necessary tools are user-friendly and suitable for children.

How do you keep my child engaged during online sessions?

Keeping kids engaged in an online setting can be challenging, but we use a variety of strategies to make sessions interactive and fun. Our instructors use live demonstrations, interactive quizzes, and collaborative projects to keep children actively participating. We also incorporate multimedia elements, such as videos and animations, to make lessons more dynamic. Regular breaks and interactive activities help maintain focus and energy levels.

Can my child work on their own tech projects or interests within the program?

Absolutely! We encourage children to explore their own tech interests and work on personal projects as part of the program. Our instructors support this by providing guidance and resources for independent projects like coding from scratch and designing a digital art piece. This approach allows children to apply what they’ve learned in a creative and personalized way, fostering their passion for technology.
